Vegas Trip

So, I know what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. However, I do have a few pics to share. We went with some good friends of ours, Jessica and Shannon.  We don't get to see them often, as they live about 2 hours away from us and they are busy with 3 kids just like us!

First stop when we arrived at our hotel was to find a sports bar to watch the KU, K-State, Big 12 Championship game.  We found a cool place right in our hotel with big screens and even a tv right on our table.  We sat in a booth complete with speakers going around it, and we could adjust the volume.  It was really cool.  The Jayhawks did not ruin our trip by winning the game!!

Here we are in front of our hotel on St. Patrick's day.  I sported my green KU shirt and blinky necklace!

We had one fancy night out at a good steakhouse at the Tropicana hotel/casino.  I loved this place because it was all white inside with white tile floors.  It reminded me of the Vegas casinos you see in the movies.  Our dinner was great too!  After dinner, we headed to Bellagio to see the show, "O."

One night, we went on an interesting adventure to Fremont Street.  A man at the bus stop tried to explain to us how to get to Fremont Street and which bus passes to use and all of that.  It was waaaay confusing, and we just wanted him to leave us alone.  We bought the passes, but then nobody even LOOKED at them when boarding the bus.  In fact, the bus drivers drive in a plexiglass booth, and the sign says, "DO NOT DISTURB DRIVER."  Although it was rough getting there, we had an awesome time on the zipline!

Funny story:  Daddy lost his bus pass while at Fremont Street, but we were not concerned as they didn't check them anyway.  Another couple at the stop told us they had never been checked before either.  A bunch of people, including us, were waiting at the bus stop, and a city worker went through the line to check bus passes!  Luckily, we were ok because he just stood in the crowd at the back, and she just checked those people closest to the street.

Here is Fremont Street with the zipliners flying over the top.  It really was a fun part of our trip.  It was a big rush to fly over all those people.  It will be neat when they finish the more permanent, larger zipline in the next few years.

Before we left, I had to get a picture with the big slot machine near our elevator at the hotel!  We had such a great time, and we even talked about a future trip with Jess and Shannon.  We decided a cruise or some tropical island would be our next trip sometime in the next 3 years.  We have plans for Disney World in 2014, and they have plans for it in 2016.  We are thinking 2015 would be perfect!
