Colorado Part 2

We rented a bike to ride around Lake Estes. All 4 of us squeezed on this bike. Daddy and Uncle Matt had to pedal while Mommy rode in the middle. Lake Estes was great because you can rent paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, etc. In addition to this cart, we rented a paddle boat and went out on the water.

Two elk walked right next to our cabin. It was a weird experience because I was sitting in our cabin and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a huge elk walk by our window. I've never had that happen before. They came through, ate some flowers, and drank from hummingbird feeders!

The following morning, 4 mule deer walked through on about the same path as the elk! They were not quite as tame as the elk though. They kept a close eye on us.

Here is Buddy at Bear Lake. I love how the mountains reflect in the water. It was very pretty, and we did a short hike around the lake.

We went up to a moon and star talk in the park. On the way in, we saw several mule deer like this one. There were many more animals out in the park in the evening!!

Colorado Part 1

We have been having a great time in Colorado so far.

Here are the boys at the indoor water park in Greeley. It had some neat slides and a lazy river.

We heard the Cheyenne Frontier Days were going on in Wyoming. It is only about an hour from Don and Bonnie's (Daddy and Uncle Matt's Great Aunt and Uncle's). So, we drove up to check it out. We didn't make it to any of the rodeo, but we got a "behind the chutes" tour. It is one of the biggest rodeos in the country. We wanted our picture by Chute 7, the one Lane Frost used on his last bull ride. For those of you who have not seen the movie 8 Seconds, you should watch it! It is all about the life of bull rider Lane Frost.

We made it to Estes Park this morning. Of course, Buddy spotted the go-carts and wanted to ride!

Here is the view of the Continental Divide from our cabin. We stayed at these cabins 2 years ago, but we rented a 2 bedroom this time. It has much more room!

18 Weeks & Vacation

We are getting ready for our trip to Colorado! We are hoping for way cooler weather!!

Swimming Lessons

Buddy has been taking swimming lessons this week.

So far, Daddy has been in the water with him. Tonight, Mommy plans on taking a dip!

He is learning to back float, and he does quite well.

When lessons are over, he gets his chance to jump off the diving board. He loves it!

Fishing & 16 Weeks

Daddy and Buddy have been fishing a lot lately. Here is one of Buddy's "big" catches! His expression is priceless. I'm sure dad said, "Say cheese," and this is his forced smile.

Here I am looking more pregnant everyday!

Boy, oh Girl!

Here is crazy Uncle Bones on the 4th of July! We had a great party at his place again this year!

By far, my best picture of fireworks ever. My camera was cooperating! Thanks to David, Cleo, and Dennis, we had a great fireworks show!
