Talking

The twins have really been talking lately. I thought maybe one would take over for the other, but they both have learned several different words. Sissy's words include cat, uh-oh, bye bye, mmm (for good food), bath, ca-ca (for cracker), and mama. Little bro says hot, bye, mama, uh-oh, ba ba (for sippy cup), dog, mmm, and bath. They are also working on learning animal noises like meow, ruff ruff, and moo.

Little bro is really a copy cat.  He tries to say almost every word that we repeat to him a few times.  Here he learned hot because he kept reaching up to touch the rotisserie.  You can barely hear him, but you can see his mouth say the word over and over.  By the way, the chicken turned out yummy!

Turkey Hunting

Grandpa, Daddy, and Buddy have been busy scouting turkeys the past few weeks. This past weekend, Grandpa and Buddy got one! It was a big one; I think it was 24 pounds. Buddy was so excited! He even had to take pictures and the beard to school to show everyone. He spent at least 2 minutes explaining to everyone how it all "went down."

Easter 2013

We were happy to host Easter at our house again this year! The kids had fun dyeing eggs, hunting for candy filled eggs, and playing ball outside!

The twins learned how to pick up eggs and put them in their baskets this year!

Sissy liked to carry her eggs around and then dump them out to play with them.

Cousin Alli running to get an egg out of the tree!

Here is Buddy running to find the eggs with his cousins.  If they only knew it was more fun to make the hunt last longer by walking.  Of course, this hunt lasted about 10 minutes.

Little bro was just getting used to walking around in the yard.  Last time they spent time outdoors, the twins couldn't even walk yet.  They were a little unsure of themselves walking on the uneven ground.

After all that playing, the twins sat with Auntie Coco to read a story.  I tried to get a better picture, but they got too wiggly before I could take another one!

As far as Easter goodies, the bunny brought Buddy an enormous barrel of cheese balls.  We wondered how he carried that thing in the house!
