We celebrated Grandpa's birthday on Sunday, but his birthday is actually today! Here he is opening his gifts!
Grandpa loves red cake, and as usual, he made his own cake. He also made his own birthday brunch (with Grandma's help) of ham, cheesy potatoes, breakfast casserole, fruit salad, bagels, and mini cinnamon rolls. We had tons of food, but it was sure yummy! Happy 86th** grandpa! Yes, I know he looks young for his age!
**Grandpa is not really 86. Those are the only candles Grandma could find for his cake!

Riding a bike
Buddy learned to ride his tricycle today! He got a new helmet last night that he is proud of! They were giving them away at an Earth Day fair at Mommy's school!

Slacking
I have been slacking with the blog lately. We have been busy! Last weekend, Mommy and Buddy camped with Grandma and Grandpa at Clinton Lake. Just this past weekend, Daddy worked on painting in the basement and Mommy planted flowers. Buddy has been going to swimming lessons on Saturday mornings the last 2 weeks. We need to get some pictures of his lessons soon. He enjoys the games and songs we play at the pool!

I forgot to mention the last post as #100. I guess I will start a new tradition of celebrating post 101 instead of 100.
Anyway, Buddy is a tv star. We submitted a photo to Drew's Braggin' Wall on wibw.com of Buddy's first fish. It is a picture of Daddy and Buddy with the crappie they caught. This morning, on the news, they put up the picture! Buddy thought it was pretty cool!

Staying Busy
As usual, we are staying busy this weekend. We went to an easter egg hunt and Buddy collected $8.50 in half-dollar coins. The lions club was very generous with their egg hunt. They had a half-dollar in each egg!
It was also Uncle Bones' 60th birthday party. We went to Baldwin and saw several cousins, aunts, and uncles. All of Grandpa's G's brothers and sisters came which is quite a treat because there are 9 of them. It only happens about once every 5 years or so. With everyone getting so busy, it may be one of the last few times that everyone is together. The top picture is everyone with my Granny.

Easter Eggs
We dyed easter eggs last night, and it was messy as expected. Buddy just wanted drop the eggs into the color and put his whole hand in to get them out. Forget the egg dipper or a spoon! We only used 3 colors, and boy was that a good decision!!!
Here he is with the pretty teal-colored egg!
This is my attempt at good photography. Most of the time, we are lucky to just get the picture taken. I have seen so many blogs where people have really neat pics. How do they find the time to stage everything and have their kid actually cooperate? On another note, notice how I am never in any photos. Buddy is going to grow up thinking I never did anything with him.
