Memorializing

We had quite a Memorial Day weekend. We had so much fun. It reminded Mommy of summer and how much fun she will have with Buddy. In addition to the below activities, we did celebrate Memorial Day by visiting the cemeteries where Mommy's grandpa's/uncles and Daddy's great-grandparents are buried.

Buddy loves bottles... any kind of bottles. Here he is with his dad's EMPTY bottle. Grandma and Grandpa were camping at the lake near our house, so we "day camped" with them this weekend. We aren't much for camping because we can't sleep very well without a comfy bed and a fan!

Mommy's cousin had a graduation party this weekend. Here is Buddy with his Granny (great-grandma) at the party.

School's Almost Out...

While many districts in our area are finishing up today or tomorrow, we are finishing up in a week. I'm glad to have almost finished my 4th year of teaching. There have been lots of ups and downs, but overall it has gone well. Every year I learn how to tighten up the reigns a bit. Next year is going to be more challenging for me as I have picked up a new class. It only has 7 kids in it so far, but they are not the best students in the school... I will have to be really, really mean; that's for sure!!

World Famous Topeka Zoo

On Saturday, we ventured to the Topeka Zoo in Gage Park. It was fun and Buddy loved it. Here he is on the train in Gage Park. The weather was great!

Daddy loved the geese, and they came right up to the fence for Buddy. They wanted us to feed them!

Hats...

Buddy doesn't seem to mind wearing a hat. He pulls it off every now and then, but I just put it right back on. I'm hoping to get him to wear a hat this summer to avoid sunburns!! As you can see, he thinks hats are just hilarious. (And NO, I did NOT take these pictures while driving!! We were in our driveway getting ready to leave!)

Our Little Monkey

This is Buddy this morning at breakfast. He loves bananas!

Here he is with a big bite in his mouth and trying to smile for the camera. He loves to say, "nana, nana" and starts to giggle when he sees one.

Garage Sale Specials

Here is a horsey I picked up for one dollar. Quite a deal! He even makes horsey sounds and plays music!

Buddy loves it!

This is an adorable train set I got for 20 bucks. Not quite as good of a deal, but you tell him to go and stop through a microphone, and he even stops at the farm/train station/loader/etc. if you push the right buttons. Probably at least a $50 item brand new.
